FAQ
Getting Started
What is Virgo Meds?
An online Telehealth service offering weight loss, peptides, longevity and sexual health treatments.
Licensed clinicians review your health online and, when appropriate, prescribe a treatment plan delivered to your door — with labs, follow-ups, and unlimited care-team access built in.
Do I qualify?
Treatment is generally available to adults 18–74 with a BMI of 27+, or 25+ with a weight-related health condition. Microdose programs have broader eligibility. A licensed clinician makes the final call — not a website, and not a sales quota. Not everyone qualifies.
What states do you serve?
All 50 states and Washington, D.C. In a small number of states [AR, DC, DE, KS, MS, NM, RI, WV], your first visit is a live video visit rather than an online form — we'll schedule it at a time that works for you.
Do I need a video visit?
Most visits are handled through secure online review. Live video visits are always available at no extra cost — and required for your first visit in a few states (see above).
Treatment & Safety
What treatments do you offer?
Semaglutide injection, Tirzepatide injection, Oral Semaglutide (a once-daily dissolvable tablet), and low-dose "microdose" GLP-1 programs along with peptides energy, strength and longevity.
What are GLP-1s / how do they work?
They improve your insulin response, slow stomach emptying so you stay full longer, and act on the brain's appetite centers to quiet hunger — which is why they reduce "food noise," not just calories.
Are compounded medications FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are prepared by state licensed FDA approved pharmacies for an individual patient when a clinician determines it's appropriate, but they are not FDA-approved and the FDA does not evaluate them for safety, efficacy, or quality.
What are the risks?
GLP-1 medications carry serious risks, including a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors. Common side effects include nausea, especially early. Your clinician reviews your history first and can prescribe anti-nausea support if needed. Full details in Safety Information and in your consult.
I'm nervous about needles.
Two of our four options involve no injections at all — the once-daily oral tablet and oral microdose programs. If you do choose an injection, your care team walks you through the first dose.
Pricing & Billing
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $179 for microdose programs. Multi-month plans lower the monthly price; medication still ships every 4 weeks. Your price includes clinician visits, labs, support, and shipping — no hidden fees.
Do you take insurance?
No — we're cash-pay, which is what keeps the process fast and the pricing flat. FSA/HSA cards are accepted, along with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Can I cancel?
Yes — anytime, for any reason. Request cancellation at least 72 hours before your next billing date. See the full Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What if the clinician says no?
If a clinician determines treatment isn't medically appropriate, you receive a full refund.
Shipping & Account
How does shipping work?
Free, discreet packaging, shipped every 4 weeks from a licensed U.S. pharmacy.
How do I manage my plan?
Through your secure patient portal — message your care team, book video visits, track shipments, and update billing.
